Today we head out for an amazing 2+ week tour of Thailand!    Curious about what we are doing?   here is the first weeks agenda!

Northern Thailand  - for those of you that have never been, you are in for a once-in-a-lifetime treat!! Cooking the best thai food you have ever had yourself, Imagine riding a bamboo boat down a river to a remote village where you jump on an elephant that takes you up the hills to a long-neck tribe in jungles.  That night we gather in a hut, make amazing food on a open floor fire, chat and laugh before slumbering off on sleeping mats.



Laos/Burma - As part of our exploring of norther thailand we will briefly go in to Burma and Laos for a day. For a long time these two countries were off limits to most foreigners so it is a pleasure as we are able to explore freely now, and will provide a good introduction should you decide to spend more time in these countries in the future.


Cambodia - if you decide to go before this our trip.  You are whisked straight away to a different world filled with ancient temples as far as the eyes cans see, the place where Indiana Jones was filmed, monkeys following you every where you go in the evenings we are enjoying the new culture of a country who has half their amazingly happy population under 30!

We Wanderlust- DO you?

We count our lucky stars that we have a passport, are able to sleep on planes and enjoy the unique joys that language barriers present.  Thats why we travel.... there is no other experience like it.

Its so easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life and not take all your vacation days or to take a "staycation" but secretly stay at  home and check email obsessively... when was the last time you truly unplugged and found an adventure for your soul?  If its been a while, check our our list of adventures.... from Trekking Thailand, the beaches of Fiji or the Half Dome of Yosemite... our members can have an adventure, a trip or a vaycay of their dreams with Club Urban Diversion!!

A weekend on point!

Our life lesson?  Always, always take advantage of a beautiful day of sunshine while you can... and this Sunday we put our hooves to the sand and our butts in the saddle in the sun!

California has miles and miles of beaches... when was the last time you explored one?  We were so lucky to have a morning of sunshine and excellent weather- the horses were super well behaved and the surf/sand was beautiful in the morning sunshine!!  Big thanks to Ellie (our expert horsewoman) for giving us all the helpful hints and tricks as well as fueling our morning caffeine habit (YAY FREE COFFEE!). Based on the popular demand (sorry we sold out of spots by Thursday) we will definitely be doing it again... maybe a sunset ride followed by a beach bonfire BBQ?!  Sound off on the comments to register your votes or find out what else is up at Club Urban Diversion! 

There are 365 Days in a year.... and "someday" isnt one of them.

Weather be DAMNED! We love a good time... rain or shine!!!

After 3 years of drought and taking a warm, dry & balmy spring for granted... El Nino reminded us what a true Bay Area spring is all about- unpredictable weather, incorrect weathermen and remembering how to have fun rain or shine!!

 Last weekend we celebrated two of our favorite holidays- St. Patricks Day (via a double decker party bus in the SF St. Patricks Day Parade) and beloved member James' birthday, and despite the threat of torrential rain and wetter-than-wet conditions... our party marched on and reigned (ha ha, pun intended) supreme in full green & gold glory! Turns out that we had the luck of the Irish and the rain stayed away as 80 of us partied on the tallest rolling party in the parade. A big thanks to Ellie who got Guinness and the Golddust Lounge to hook us up with complementary pints to keep us "spirited" and feeling like merry leprechauns!

So if your feeling a bit unlucky with all the rain and cloud cover- why not join us on one of our merry adventures!   And unlike the weathermen- we cant guarantee a sunny forecast, but we certainly can guarantee a great time, good fun and that you will meet some really cool people!

This is an "Open Jaw" flight - This type of trip is an excellent option for those that love to explore and have some extra time available.  what it means is you fly in and out of different cities.   Ever notice how one way trips are always nearly as expensive as a round trip?   The airlines do this to get you to book at least tow flights... aka buy one get one free... so if you are a savy traveler you can use this to yoru advantage... fly in to one city and out another and you have a $1200 trip for $322!

If you are like me and you have some air miles... you don't even have to worry about if you actually take the flight back or not.  $322 for a one- way is cheap!
